RENEE A. PERRINE – Vice President, Marketing

A city girl turned farmer, Renee’s initial farming venture involved sending boxes of organic vegetables door to door from Tuminugan Farm to families enrolled in the program, “My Personal Farmer”, the Philippines’ first Consumer Supported Agriculture program that ran from 2008-2011. In 2008, Renee began her Arabica coffee adventure by dispersing seedlings to the Indigenous Peoples of Bukidnon. By 2010, having perfected the processing, roasting and packaging of cherries, Renee brought to market what we now know as Hineleban Coffee.  This first successful model of Transformational Business Partnership bridged the gap between farmers and consumers, cutting middle men, and remunerating the farmers 300% more in cherry prices. Some 30,000 trees and still counting have also been planted through Hineleban Coffee’s “Sip and Reforest” campaign where one forest tree is planted for every bag of coffee purchased. Renee now works to mirror the success of Hineleban Coffee to new ventures like Hineleban Adlai, a highland grown heirloom grain, and Hineleban Bamboo.
