DENR Officials Address the Stakeholders During the INREM Project Launch in Bukidnon

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) grace the launch of the Integrated Natural Resouces and Environmental Mananagement Project in Bukidnon. The Undersecretary for Policy and Planning and Foreign Assisted Programs of the DENR, the Honorable Manuel D. Gerochi, gave his keynote message. Usec Gerochi remarked: “ …that with INREMP, 409,900 hectares of watershed land in Bukidnon will benefit from the reduction and reversal of watershed degradation, 18 municipalities and 281 barangays, and 82,035 households in the whole of the upper Bukidnon River Basin will reap the economic rewards of sustainable use and management of natural resources.”  He also expressed appreciation to the province of Bukidnon for the strong support.”

On the other hand, the DENR Region 10 Regional Director Ruth M. Tawantawan in her closing remarks narrated the importance of the natural resources in Bukidnon. She encouraged all the stakeholders to support the implementation of the INREMP.
