The Honorable Governor Jose Maria Zubiri, Jr. facilitated the meeting of the guests from French Development Agency (AFD) and Global Footprint Network )GFN), with the heads of National Government Agencies (NGAs) in the province, academe and the church. The international adviser for environmental conservation of the province, Dr. Urooj S. Malik, joined the Honorable Governor in receiving the guests.
The AFD mission is composed of AFD’s Country Director, Mr. Christophe Blanchot; Dr. Tiphaine Lemenager of AFD Paris, and Mr. Fernando Espero III of AFD Manila. Ms. Pati Poblete, GFN’s Asian Regional Director and Mr. Philip Fullon, GFN’s Asian Region Coordinator presented the project on Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity Frameworks, which is a case study of a river basin in Northern Mindanao.
